Anicillary texts

Now that I am coming to  the end of my main production The Life Of A Football Hooligan i can start to fully focus on my Ancillary texts which are a Poster to use a promotion for my film and also a radio interview to promote my production. the ancillary texts as well at the evaluation questions will be up on my blog shortly as well my final production.

Giroux Theory (1997) Representation of youth Giroux views show how the youth are mistreated within media. Describing them as an empty category explains that adults don’t understand what it is like to be a youth in this generation. I have recently completed the first  ancillary text. The first ancillary text that i did was a poster for our film The Life Of A Football Hooligan. I will link the poster below. i decided that i will  make the poster look like the front cover of an Oxford United match day magazine. overshadowed

Overshadowed Overshadowed is a TV program aired by BBC three on the BBC I player and it follows the life of Imogene who is a vlogger. It is an innovative drama. It is based on the award winning play about Imogene the vlogger whose life spirals out of control. The innovative drama has lots of youth culture issues in it including, parental issues, relationship issues and the main issue being anorexia. In the series you meet a lot of Imogene’s friend. There are a few main characters that we see in Overshadowed. The main character is obviously Imogene but then there is the person that’s always with her who is the voice in her head/ the anorexia and its stops her from eating. In the first two episodes the audience really starts to grasp an idea of the main issues being betrayed in overshadowed.
