Film Poster: Ancillary text 1

Image
I have recently completed the first  ancillary text. The first ancillary text that i did was a poster for our film The Life Of A Football Hooligan. I will link the poster below. i decided that i will  make the poster look like the front cover of an Oxford United match day magazine. The reason that i did this is because i felt like it would add something more to the production instead of just a generic film poster.  Oxford United match day magazine My film poster

Evaluation Question 3 Answer

Below will be my Answer to the third Evaluation Question. What have you learned from your audience research. The questionnaire that I have produced has been done to answer the third evaluation question for my final A2 production, The Life Of A Football Hooligan.   The question is what have you learned from your audience feedback. I did this as a questionnaire because I felt it was the best way to get all good answers for all the questions that were appropriate to my production. The first question that I asked was, How old are you and out of 21 responses, 5 people said 15-17, 10 said 17-20, 2 said 20-23 and 4 people said 30 plus. These answers show me that the main target audience would be people between the ages of 15 and 20. This fits in with what we expected it to be when we first throughout of the idea.   The second question was what type of TV do you typically watch. 5 people said they watch comedy, 4 people said they like drama TV, 4 people also said they watched re...

What is Missing from our production?

Image
As I'm Sure you've seen i recently updated a rough edit of our A2 final production Life of A Football Hooligan and as well as linking this below i will also state what we need to do and add to this production before it is 100% finished. What is missing? we still need to add music to the production. we need to add a few more clips that we have filmed recently into the production. we need to remove some clips that don't really fit in.  we need to re edit a few bits because we think it might make the viewers loose interest.  we need to make sure that all the clips in the production fit together and make sure it runs smoothly.   we need to add text to some parts for example a title to the production.

Where to post my production

As target audience research I looked at various types of media sites to know which website I should post the link to my production on in order to attract the most views which will help me answer evaluation question 3 'What have you learned from audience feedback?' After looking at these different sites  i have decided that the best media outlet as well as YouTube would be Twitter.  Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, known as "tweets." These messages were originally restricted to 140 characters, but on November 7 th , 2017, the limit was doubled to 280 characters for all languages except Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams and launched in July of that year. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity. In 2012, more than 100 million users posted 340 million tweets a day and the service handled an average of ...

results from the production ideas questionnaire

Image
The questionnaire that we produced to find out what people wanted consisted of just 1 question and that was, what would you rather watch a documentary on the Life Of A Football or a music video and the results were quite one sided. Out of the 10 results that we got 7 people said they would rather watch a documentary and 3 people said that they would rather watch a music video. These results even though we didn’t get as many answers as we wanted were still very one sided and because of this it had made us decide that we are going to do a documentary about a football hooligan for our production.

Potential ideas

We have recently been given the options for our A2 Media Production. Out of all of the options we have, we have Narrowed it down to 2 ideas, we will either be doing a music video or a documented about the life of a football hooligan. we are going to put a questionnaire on social media asking people what they would rather see and then decide from there depending on what the majority of people want.

A2 Production briefs

There are a number of briefs to choose from in A2 and in this post I will be talking about which ones I could potentially use for my A2 production The first brief that has caught my eye and one that I am thinking of using is ' A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the three options; a website homepage for the band, a cover for its release on DVD, and/or a magazine advertisement for the DVD'. This brief would be a lot different from the one I did in AS and would allow me to access a range of different skills I was not able to access in AS due to the brief. There are a lot of different ways a music video can be created and made and it would be a lot of fun working with people to create a good quality one.  Music is a big part of my life along with the majority of people so it would be easy to find a track right for the theme I aim aiming for as there is a variety of choice to choose from. I...
