The research behind our production

Image
For our final A2 production as I’m sure you know we decided to film a mockumentary about the life of a football hooligan. The reason that we decided this is because we both massive football fans we thought it would be a great way to bring our two main passions of football and film making into one. We did however have to put a lot of research into the production for example first we looked on YouTube and online about other production that were similar to ours to make sure that we didn’t completely copy them. Then we had to decide what shots we needed and where we were going to film these shots. In the end we decide that we would film part of our production in different houses and also at a number of different football grounds. After we had completed this we need to gather permission form people to film there as well finding suitable times to film. What is Missing from our production?

Image
As I'm Sure you've seen i recently updated a rough edit of our A2 final production Life of A Football Hooligan and as well as linking this below i will also state what we need to do and add to this production before it is 100% finished. What is missing? we still need to add music to the production. we need to add a few more clips that we have filmed recently into the production. we need to remove some clips that don't really fit in.  we need to re edit a few bits because we think it might make the viewers loose interest.  we need to make sure that all the clips in the production fit together and make sure it runs smoothly.   we need to add text to some parts for example a title to the production.

Where to post my production

As target audience research I looked at various types of media sites to know which website I should post the link to my production on in order to attract the most views which will help me answer evaluation question 3 'What have you learned from audience feedback?' After looking at these different sites  i have decided that the best media outlet as well as YouTube would be Twitter.  Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, known as "tweets." These messages were originally restricted to 140 characters, but on November 7 th , 2017, the limit was doubled to 280 characters for all languages except Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams and launched in July of that year. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity. In 2012, more than 100 million users posted 340 million tweets a day and the service handled an average of ...

Life of a football hooligan rough edit

I recently uploaded a rough edit of our Production Life of a football hooligan to you tube. This is not a finished product and there is still lots of work to do. i will link the YouTube video below.

Target audience for our production

Image
Our production 'Life of a football hooligan' has a very wide target audience. I would say that age wise our target audience would be aged between 16 and 45. we think this because the lad culture that goes along with with 'Football hooligan' is very popular at the moment with people in this age range. the type of people like I mentioned earlier are people who go to football every week and follow their team through thick and thin and these people will really be able to relate to our production on both a serious and joke level.

Soundtrack options for Life of a football hooligan

Image
While filming our production Life of a football hooligan we have been thinking about the soundtrack/ soundtracks that will be best to use in our production. We have a shortlist of a few songs/ tracks that we think will fit well with the theme of the production. I will copy the link to the YouTube videos of these down below. The first song that we chose is Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. this because it is to Oxford United as You'll Never Walk Alone is to Liverpool. The next song that we chose was Don't look back in anger by Oasis. this is because it is a song that all England football fans can relate and a song that is listened to when they are both happy and sad and i believe that sums up a football hooligan perfectly. As well as these 2 big songs we will also be trying to find some videos of Oxford united fans and the chants they sing at the games.

Locations for Life of a football hooligan

Image
Throughout the filming of our A2 Project the Life of a football hooligan we have filmed clips in many different places and tried around with lots of different shots some of which will not make it into the final finished products.  The first place we decided to film was the Kassam stadium Oxford as the project is all about the life of an Oxford United football hooligan so the Kassam stadium the home of Oxford united was the perfect place to film. We also filmed at, many different away games as well although some of the footage from these aren’t great because we had to try and film without security seeing.

Potential ideas

We have recently been given the options for our A2 Media Production. Out of all of the options we have, we have Narrowed it down to 2 ideas, we will either be doing a music video or a documented about the life of a football hooligan. we are going to put a questionnaire on social media asking people what they would rather see and then decide from there depending on what the majority of people want.
