Evaluation Question 3 Answer

Below will be my Answer to the third Evaluation Question. What have you learned from your audience research.

The questionnaire that I have produced has been done to answer the third evaluation question for my final A2 production, The Life Of A Football Hooligan.  The question is what have you learned from your audience feedback. I did this as a questionnaire because I felt it was the best way to get all good answers for all the questions that were appropriate to my production. The first question that I asked was, How old are you and out of 21 responses, 5 people said 15-17, 10 said 17-20, 2 said 20-23 and 4 people said 30 plus. These answers show me that the main target audience would be people between the ages of 15 and 20. This fits in with what we expected it to be when we first throughout of the idea.
The second question was what type of TV do you typically watch. 5 people said they watch comedy, 4 people said they like drama TV, 4 people also said they watched reality TV typically and finally 8 people said they would typically watch documentaries on TV. These results were what I expected as well with there being a wide range of answers but with documentaries being the most popular choice that shows us that there is market for more documentaries like ours.
The third question is how much TV do you watch a day, now with the introduction off subscription TV/media like Netflix and Amazon Prim and the sudden rise of YouTube I expect this number to be relatively low. The answer were as follows. 12 people said 0-2 hours a day of TV, 3 people said 2-4 hours, 3 people said 4-6 hours and 3 people said 6+ hours. Like I said earlier this again fits in with what we expect.
The fourth question is in relation to the topic of our production and that is all about football and in particular for this question I asked people how often do you watch football at ground. With the age ranges that we got earlier and the global popularity of football in the world and in England I would expect a lot of people to watch a lot of games at a stadium/ground. 2 people said every week, 5 said every two weeks, 3 said once a month, 6 said less than 5 times a season and 3 said never. These results were not what I was expecting as there is lot of people that very rarely watch football at a ground/stadium.
The final question that I put in my questionnaire is a very generic question and that was Do you like football yes or no, I expected the majority o0f people to answer this yes considering the age range and like I said earlier the popularity of the sport no just in England but also the world. 16 people answered the question saying yes they liked football meaning that 5 people said they didn’t like football. The answers weren’t actually as one sided as I thought they might be I was expecting it be about 90% of people saying yes.
After looking at the results I have learned that there is a market for my production and I believe the demographic that I originally aimed it was the correct demographic.
