Evaluation Question 3 Answer

Image
Below will be my Answer to the third Evaluation Question. What have you learned from your audience research. The questionnaire that I have produced has been done to answer the third evaluation question for my final A2 production, The Life Of A Football Hooligan.   The question is what have you learned from your audience feedback. I did this as a questionnaire because I felt it was the best way to get all good answers for all the questions that were appropriate to my production. The first question that I asked was, How old are you and out of 21 responses, 5 people said 15-17, 10 said 17-20, 2 said 20-23 and 4 people said 30 plus. These answers show me that the main target audience would be people between the ages of 15 and 20. This fits in with what we expected it to be when we first throughout of the idea.   The second question was what type of TV do you typically watch. 5 people said they watch comedy, 4 people said they like drama TV, 4 people also said they watched reality TV

The research behind our production

Image
For our final A2 production as I’m sure you know we decided to film a mockumentary about the life of a football hooligan. The reason that we decided this is because we both massive football fans we thought it would be a great way to bring our two main passions of football and film making into one. We did however have to put a lot of research into the production for example first we looked on YouTube and online about other production that were similar to ours to make sure that we didn’t completely copy them. Then we had to decide what shots we needed and where we were going to film these shots. In the end we decide that we would film part of our production in different houses and also at a number of different football grounds. After we had completed this we need to gather permission form people to film there as well finding suitable times to film. How online TV is changing traditional TV

Image
In class recently we have been looking at the affect the rise of online TV has has on the traditional TV shows. I specifically looked at Eastenders the BBC program. EastEnders is a British soap opera created by Julia Smith and Tony Holland which has been broadcast on BBC One since 1985. Set in Albert Square in the East End of London in the fictional Borough of Walford, the programme follows the stories of local residents and their families as they go about their daily lives. Initially there were two 30-minute episodes per week but since 2001 episodes have been broadcast every weekday apart from Wednesdays. Within eight months of the show's launch, it reached the number-one spot in BARB's TV ratings and has consistently remained among the top-rated TV programmes in Britain. In 2013, the average audience share for an episode was around 30 per cent. Today, EastEnders remains a significant programme in terms of the BBC's success and audience share, and also in the history of

Evaluation question 4 idea

Fo    The fourth and final Evaluation question for my final A2 production I have decided to make a power point. The question is  How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? I will answer this by doing a different slide on each of the sections and therefore making a power point. I will link some examples below of how a power point has been used to answer this question before. If you click on the link it will take you to the blog of a previous student who also had the same idea as me and that is to answer question 4 as a powerpoint. Blog from previous student

Evaluation Question 1 idea

Image
The evaluation question 1 for the advanced portfolio is, in what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? The way that I will answer this question is by doing a directors commentary. What I mean by this is I will be talking over my production and be stopping it at points and talk about the ways this production is developing or challenging the forms and conventions of real media products that are also available. I will link an example of a director’s commentary below. the examples that i will link are one that was done for our product last year but by a different students and then one for a Hollywood movie.

I will example of both down below. the first link is to interviews that were done form our first production from year 12.

Evaluation question 2 idea

The second evaluation question that I have to answer in regard to my A2 Final production, The Life Of A Football Hooligan is How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? the way that I will be answering this is through a podcast. In the podcast i will be addressing the question and then answering it after looking at both my ancillary texts and the final production. below I will link a few examples of different types of podcasts so you can see the general theme of a podcast. My Podcast will be sightly different to these though as normally you address lots of different topics while I will only be addressing a few. the first example form a very popular podcast made by XO. My podcast will be a lot shorter than this i will only discuss the question  How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary text.

Evaluation question 1 new idea

As you can i was originally going to do a directors commentary for my first evaluation question which is, In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and convictions of real media products. after looking at the question again i have decided against a directors commentary and will now be answering the question in the style of a video blog or a vlog as they are more commonly known now. my vlog will be different from the vlogs you see on you-tube because they are mainly talking about their day while i will film myself on the set of my production and answer the question.
